Pure golf translated into a business objective
His old golf company Koene Golf could not be found online any more. However, this was the company PGA Professional Edwin Koene (A certified) feels at home. Soon it became obvious he wants to pass on this feeling to other golfers. Hence, the question in seeking help to find golf students in the digital environment was answered by breathing new life into his old company.
Firstly, the core values of Koene Golf had to be defined. This turned out to be striving for pure golf. But how do we turn this passion and striving around in commercial objectives in order to have a healthy business? For the look and feel of Koene Golf we went back towards the golf philosophy of the past. The distilled core values are put on Social Media such as Youtube and LinkedIn for promotion. Furthermore, his profile, on the Waar kan ik golfen? (translated in Dutch: Where can I play golf?) platform of, from among others the Nederlandse Golf Federatie (NFG), was adjusted accordingly. We strived to keep the core values as pure as possible, both online and offline. As we progressed in our process, the degree of integrating business objectives became more apparent.
Golfers can send in questions through the Koene Golf website. These can be answered by Koene Golf in the form of a video on Youtube. A fresh and new LinkedIn profile, Youtube account and Waar kan ik golfen? (translated in Dutch: Where can I play golf?) profile should attract golfers to take golf lessons. The road is now open to connect with online golfers, in order to share his pure golf vision, and to meet them on different golf locations around the world.
